1. Botanical Garden of the Ozarks

If you can feel nature calling this springtime, make sure that you see it at its very best at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks. Open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm from Wednesday to Friday, and situated at 4703 North Crossover Road, this site has twelve separate gardens and a butterfly house.

If you’re looking to educate the kids about the world around them, the Earth Day festival on April 21 will feature family activities, crafts, and a chance to meet the animals. And at the Chefs in the Garden fundraising event on May 23 you can even enjoy cookery demonstrations in the beautiful surroundings.

2. Texas Boys Choir Spring Concert Show

If spring always seems to bring a little music to your soul, make the most of this visit by the Texas Boys Choir to the First United Presbyterian Church at 695 East Calvin Street. Aged between 9 and 18, these promising choristers will sing in a range of styles, from choral masterpieces to American favorites. The show takes place on April 23 at 7:00 pm.

3. Fayetteville Farmers Market

Located in the Historic Downtown Square and open every Saturday, you can find the finest and freshest farm produce at the Fayetteville Farmers Market. As well as fruit, flowers, vegetables, meat, dairy, preserves, and crafts, you might also catch some live music or get the chance to meet some of the farms’ animal inhabitants.

4. Rogers Historical Museum

If you’re looking for an educational way to burn off some kids’ energy this spring, the Rogers Historical Museum at 313 South Second Street is just the place to visit. Find out more about the history of Arkansas, from pioneering to urbanization, with a series of immersive exhibits. You can also stroll down the First Street display, and pay a visit to the caboose.

Children can dress up and play in “Grandma’s Attic” and there’s a free family day with activities and crafts on June 3. The ​museum is open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm from Tuesday to Saturday.
