The 2021 ID.4 1st Edition brought only 2,000 vehicles to U.S. drivers and they sold out within a few hours of digital reservations being open. However, you can still get an ID.4 this year, because the 2021 ID.4 Pro is coming to your dealer starting this summer. ID.4 Pro Basics
The ID.4 EV is the first of its kind in the Volkswagen SUV lineup. If you haven’t gotten on board with electric vehicles yet this might be the one that changes your mind. The ID.4 seats five passengers with 30.3 cubic feet of cargo space in the trunk. Plus, this electric SUV is able to go 250 miles between charges and has 201 horsepower, so you can save money on gas while you enjoy the ride.
Technology
The ID.4 Pro includes IQ.DRIVE, the most advanced driver assistance technology available. Navigation features are displayed on a 10-inch touchscreen with ID. Light. The heated seats and steering wheel will keep you comfortable in the winter and you won’t have to pull over to plug in your devices because it has wireless charging and wireless app-connect capabilities.
Pro S Features
The Pro S model adds LED headlights, an illuminated grille, and a panoramic sunroof. The infotainment display is upgraded to 12-inches, and the power-adjustable leatherette seats provide limitless configurations for maximum comfort. Volkswagen knows you’ve always got your hands full and so they’ve added a hands-free liftgate to the Pro S that is convenient and efficient.
Gradient Package
The Pro S trim is also available with the Gradient package that includes larger 20-inch alloy wheels, and a painted black roof with silver accents.
ID.4 Price
The starting price of the Volkswagen ID.4 is $39,995 MSRP. The Pro is available in only four colors, white, black, grey, or silver. An AWD, dual-motor powertrain is expected to be available in the fall of 2021 and you will be able to include it on your ID.4 Pro for an additional $3,680.
A protection package is another add-on you can choose for $334. It includes durable floor mats with the ID.4 logo, a strong trunk liner, and cargo blocks as well as an EV roadside assistance kit.
Pro S Price
The Pro S model starts at $44,495 MSRP, and it adds dusk blue to your choice of exterior colors. It will cost an additional $1,500 if you opt for the Gradient package. On top of its other benefits, the Gradient package is the only way to get the Red Metallic exterior color. The Pro S also comes with FWD this summer but it can be reserved with the AWD powertrain that will be available later in the year.
Safety First
